DYERSVILLE, Iowa -DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Marjorie Cooksley, 69, of Dyersville, died suddenly Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001 at her home.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Earlville United Parish Church, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Clifton Funeral Home, Earlville, and after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1932, in Masonville, daughter of William J. and Ella M. (Todd) Emerson.

She married Donald L. Cooksley on Sept. 1, 1957, at the Silver Creek Methodist Church; he died on Feb. 13, 1976. They farmed in the Earlville area.

She moved into Dyersville more than 20 years ago. She was a member of the Earlville United Parish. She enjoyed fishing when she was able and in later years found pleasure in playing bingo and being able to drive.

Surviving are two sons, Laverne, of Worthington, and Ron (special friend, Beth Stenberg), of Dyersville; a daughter, Jean (Paul) Deutmeyer, of Worthington, seven grandchildren, Kelly Cooksley and Amy Deutmeyer, both of Cedar Rapids, Brian, Casey and Niki Deutmeyer, all of Worthington, and Matt and Stephanie Cooksley, both of Dyersville; three sisters, Bernita (Earl) Stine, of Altus, Okla., Isabel (Delbert) Paulson, of Shellsburg, and Wilda (Russ) Scholz, of Cedar Rapids; and an aunt, Ruth Alice Todd, of Coggon.
