Harry W. Hakanson,82, of LuVerne, formerly of Manchester, died Monday, May 1, 2000, in Humboldt County Memorial Hospital of heart failure. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, United Methodist Church, LuVerne, by the Rev. Dale Reisner. Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, LuVerne.

Survivors include his wife, Verla; his children, Eugene Hakanson of Portland, Ore., Dean Hakanson of Cedar Rapids, Jo anne Patterson of Parkersburg, Betty Mishler of Glenwood, Minn., and Harry D. Hakanson of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Tony Hakanson of Mendota, Ill.
