OBITUARY
WINTHROP L. ADAMS

The death of Winthrop L. Adams occurred at his home in this city on Gay street on Sunday afternoon, September 18, 1910, at two o'clock, after an illness of several months. The funeral services were held this (Tuesday) afternoon from the home and burial was made in the Manchester cemetery.

The deceased was born in Oswego county, New York, May 16, 1860. He came to Iowa with his parents when about four years old. He was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Moore at Grand View, South Dakota, in November 1883. They lived at Grand View for several years and then removed to Manchester where they have since lived. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife and three sons, George of Oelwein, Iowa; Cecil of Danbury, Iowa, and Benjamin, who lives at home.

Mr. Adams was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and also of the Highland Noble and Modern Woodmen lodges. He was an honest and upright man and highly respected by all who knew him. The many friends extend their sympathy to the family in their great bereavement.
