Fatal Jump From Train
~Independence, Nov. 11. – Tom Clark, a cooper of Masonville, was found at the intersection of the Burlington and Illinois Central tracks with his hands cut off and severe bruises about his head. He had purchased a ticket for Manchester, but boarded the wrong train, and it is supposed to have left the train at the “Y” with the above result. He died soon after found.
