The Telegraph Herald and Times Journal, Thursday, Aug. 19, 1929

Manchester, Ia. Aug. 1 – Special: Funeral services for Albert Faust, 45, farmer of prairie Township, who died at the state hospital at Independence Tuesday after a decline of two years, where held at the Presbyterian church here this Thursday afternoon, Rev. Charles A. Hyde, officiating, and burial was made at Oakland Cemetery here.

Mr. Faust, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Faust, was born in Jackson County, Iowa, on Dec. 24, 1883. In his early childhood the family removed to Dubuque County and there he grew to manhood. He was married Sept. 9, 1906, to Edith Kennedy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Kennedy, neighbors of the Faust’s. He and his wife engaged in farming in Dubuque County for six years after their marriage, for two years in Coggon, and later bought the Pholkamp farm in Prairie Township, south of Manchester. Mrs. Faust died Jan. 24, 1919, and a few years later Mr. Faust was married to Anna Anderson of Shell Rock, Iowa.

Two sons were born to Mr. Faust’s first marriage, Lloyd and Aubrey, and one son to his second, Delbert. These children survive, together with his widow, mother and sister, Mrs. Laura Bulliard, Dubuque, and five brothers, Henry, Emerald and Raymond of Dubuque County, George of Central City, and Howard of Independence.

Mr. Faust was member of the Presbyterian church here in this city.
