Mark "Fid" Fiedler, 35, of Hopkinton, died Saturday evening, Oct. 15, 2005, near Monroe, Wis., from injuries suffered in an ATV accident. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Monticello. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Finger will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Monticello.

Surviving are his wife, Shelley; a son, Quinn; a brother, Ralph of Waterloo; his mother-in-law, Jeanne Martinsen of Monticello; two brothers-in-law, Kent (Shannon) Martinsen, Monticello, and Kevin (Lori) Augustus, Lenzburg, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Stacey Martinsen, Hopkinton, and Kim (Bob) Ferrante, Monticello; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and father-in-law, Rex Martinsen.
Mark Alan Fiedler was born Feb. 14, 1970, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Caroline Boysen Fielder. Mark attended Maquoketa Valley Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1988. Mark A. Fiedler and Shelley Martinsen were married March 6, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mark was employed at Energy Manufacturing in Monticello until 2000, when the couple moved to Isanti, Minn. He was employed then by Mate Precision Tools as a CNC machine operator. The couple returned to Hopkinton in 2002 and Mark returned to work at Energy as the night shift foreman. In August 2003, Mark went to work at ATI in Delhi as a CNC machine operator. In January 2005, he was promoted to prototype technician.
Mark was a compassionate person who enjoyed life to its fullest. Mark enjoyed riding his Harley and his trip to Sturgis with the guys. He loved to snowmobile and belonged to the Snow Pioneers Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR races, the Pittsburg Steelers, and bowling with his buddies on the Tuesday night league. Mark like to go camping and fishing with Shelley and Quinn and had looked forward to teaching Quinn about deer hunting. He was a terrific father and spent a lot of quality time with Quinn and was a wonderful husband to Shelley.
