Dorrance "Smoky" Chapman,63, died Wednesday, May 17, 1995, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Iowa City, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton, where a Scripture service begins at 4.

Survivors include a son, Don of Hopkinton; a daughter, Kathy Chapman of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Louise Sweeney of Farley.

Also surviving are two grandchildren.
