Stephen W. Thompson,55, of Toledo, formerly of Hopkinton, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, United Presbyterian Church, Hopkinton. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his mother, Katherine of Hopkinton; a son, Aaron of Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepdaughter, Shayla Meyer of Toledo; and a brother, Roger of Springville.
