DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Harold Rubner, 87, of Dyersville, died after a short illness Thursday, June 11, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Rubner was a home builder in the Dyersville area.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1910, in Worthington, son of Joseph and Frances (Jaeger) Rubner. He married Corena H. Koelker on Oct. 15, 1935, in Farley. Surviving are a daughter, Mitzi (William) Neyens, of Wausau, Wis.; three sons, John (Deanne) Rubner, of Chandler, Ariz., Chuck Rubner, of Sherrill, and Fred (Betty) Rubner, of Mequon, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corena, on Oct. 14, 1982; four brothers, Les, Joe, Ed and Florian Rubner; and a sister, Lucinda Glynn.
