DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Catherine L. Nebel, 85, of Dyersville, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 7 p.m.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1914, in Dyersville, daughter of Charles and Catherine (Funke) Kramer. She married Clarence "Jake" Nebel on May 7, 1936, in Dyersville; he died in 1981.

She was a homemaker and also worked at the Xavier school hot-lunch program.

Surviving are two daughters, JoAnn C. (Jay) Andrews, of Clearwater, Fla., and Mary Lou (Verlan) Larmore, of Dubuque; a son, Jim (Diane) Nebel, of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Kramer, of James City, Fla.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Kramer; and three brothers, Clarence "Barney" Kramer, Wilfred "Bill" Kramer and John Kramer.
