Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. at the Gill funeral home here for Mrs. Betsy Elizabeth Whitman, 67, a lifetime resident of this community and widow of the late Peter Whitman, who died here Saturday; burial in Oakland Cemetery here; born near Manchester February. 11, 1879, as Betsey Elizabeth Coonrod, and lived on farms in this vicinity with her husband prior to his death; affiliated with the Methodist church; leaves two daughters, Mrs. Howard Cook and Mrs. Donald Barclay, both of Manchester; seven grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Coonrod, Manchester; and six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Letts, Graff, Iowa; Mrs. Hannah Taylor, in California; Mrs. Stella Whitman, Manchester; Mrs. Augusta O'Dell, Dubuque; Mrs. Mary Arbegust, Manchester; and Mrs. Grace Watt, Dundee.
