Catherine Jacoby Smith's brief obituary in the Manchester
Press April 3, 1891:

Mrs. Catherine Smith, the wife of Jonathan Smith who died
near two years since, died at her home in Coffin's Grove, March 27th.
She was a most excellent woman, and her death is greatly lamented
by a large circle of friends. She leaves six sons, four of whom reside in this county.
