At 10 o’clock a.m. at the parochial residence at St. Patrick’s Church Tuesday, Feb. 8th, occurred the marriage of Mr. Cecil F. Cross and Miss Eva Worley. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Molloy in the presence of the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The bride wore a gown of white silk net over messaline with silver trimmings. She wore a wreath and veil trimmed in orange blossoms and carried a bridal shower of white roses. She was attended by her sister Miss Marie Worley and Gordon Cross a cousin of the groom acted as best man. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Worley and is a charming young lady, held in high esteem by her many friends. She was a graduate in music and was the organist in St. Patrick’s Church here. She has grown from childhood here and is loved by everybody. The groom came here highly recommended from Cedar Rapids. They left in the afternoon for a honeymoon trip in the east and upon their return will take up their residence in Central City.
