The farm home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Dittmer was the scene of a merry gathering Tuesday evening when the young people of the entire neighborhood appeared at their home to pass the evening. The affair was in the form of a farewell surprise for the Misses Dittmer who with their parents moved to Manchester during the week. The party was turned into a hard time party, the young people appearing in old clothes and utilizing the boxes in which the family had packed for seats. The affair was highly enjoyable to all participating and at the close a taffy pull was indulged in.
