At the home of her parents in the west end of town occurred the marriage of Miss Virgie Boyd to Mr. Martin Matson at high noon on Wednesday, March 23, 1910. Rev. Soule of this place performed the ceremony uniting them forever. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Boyd, and well and favorably known. She has for some time past been a stenographer for a Minneapolis firm, where she distinguished herself credit. The groom, a complete stranger to us, we are informed is manager to a lumber yard in Doran, Minnesota, to which place he will take his wife after a brief honeymoon.

The guests present are Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Boyd and son, Ray Boyd, Lottie M. Of Luverne, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bixby, Bessie Sauerbry, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Peters, Mr. and Mrs. H. Waldo, Rev. and Mrs. L. Hubbell, Rev. and Mrs. True and Mrs. A. B. Soule and son, Dr. and Mrs. Gray, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lovett of Elkport, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wenkstein of Elkport, Lillie and Louisa Baldridge, Rupert Glass, Otto and Roy Appleton, Bertha Fear, Anson Lynde, Kate Hubbell, Floy Robinson, Lou and Ethel Alger, Lottie Breed, Angie Bixby, Grace and George Pilkington, Laura Beyer and Mrs. R. Norris of Strawberry Point.
