MASONVILLE
Thomas Mulvehill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mulvehill, had a narrow escape from serious injury last Saturday when a four horse team ran away with the binder. He was turning a corner when one of the horses became disconnected from the others. All ran fiercely for about forty rods when they got mixed up in a wire fence, one horse completely over, sustaining some severe cuts with a veterinary who was called to attend to. Thomas got his feet in the canvas but by acrobatic maneuvers managed to throw himself out in the rear unhurt. Several parts of the machine were broken until the pitman rod broke when it was put out of commission for running in gear. The grain wheel missed a tree by a few inches or there might have been a different story to be told.
