Earl Roberts, 27 years old, and slight of build, has rescued six persons from drowning this season. His latest exploit in life saving was Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Smallwood, Mrs. H. M. Kezar, and her sister, Mrs. Esther Waldorf, of Maxwell, Ia. The quartette was wading in the Black Hawk River and suddenly stepped into deep water.
