R. G. Hitchcock, a well-known residence of Honey Creek Township, was thrown from his buggy last night, on the road between Delhi and Earlville, striking his face on the frozen ground with such violence as to crush his nose and cut several gashes in his face. The accident was caused by a team coming up from behind and trying to run by, which caused Hitchcock’s team to become unmanageable, and in turning a corner he was thrown.
