This certifies that the Bearer Henry Gifford of the Township of Boardman County of Clayton State of Iowa, a regular member of the Freewell Baptist church in Boardman Grove in said County has this day been publicly set apart for the work of the Gospel Ministry by prayer & the imposition of hand, according to the ways of the Freewill Baptist [illegible word] and is hereby authorized to preach the Gospel and administer it [illegible words] God - his providence may call him
