MRS. ZENAS H. GURLEY IS DEAD
Mrs. Zenas H. Gurley, formerly of Lamoni, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. E. McNutt, in Quincy, Ill., October 6. Funeral services were held from the Central Baptist church in Quincy, of which Mrs. Gurley was a member. Interment was made in Canton, Mo.
Mr. and Mrs. Gurley are among the early pioneers of Decatur county, spending some 26 years in Pleasanton and Lamoni. They moved from Lamoni to Anamosa, Iowa, in 1898, where Mr. Gurley served as warden of the penitentiary. In 1904 the family moved to Canton, Mo.
