To them were born—by adoption—one child, Martha, wife of H.R. Harder, of this place, and by whom she became the grandmother to ten children and three great-grandchildren, who sincerely mourn her decease.

She has ever lived a consistent, exemplary, Christian life, loved, honored, and respected by all who became acquainted with her.

In her family relations, she—if it were possible—more than friend and mother, sparing no sacrifice on her part that might contribute for others' comfort.
