JONES – At the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Abbott, Lamoni, Iowa, Tuesday, May 7, 1901, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, aged 40 years, 1 month, and 13 days. The cause of death was intestinal trouble of a very severe character, the post mortem revealing the fact that about five feet of the small intestine was a walnut color, caused by an engorgement of blood by an obstruction to the circulation.

The funeral took place from the house yesterday at 2 p.m., Elder H. A. Stebbins in charge and delivering the sermon. Rose Hill received the remains.

Mrs. Jones leaves two children and her parents to mourn her departure besides other children.
