OBITUARY. Death entered the home of our fellow-citizen, M r. P. M. Severe, last Wednesday, December Oth, and bore away the spirit of tho beloved wife and mother. Deceased was born at Davis City, Iowa, July 8, 1857, where she grew to womanhood and where she was married to Mr. Francia M, Severe. October 22, 1879. To this union were born two children, Pearl Joanna and Cecil Fern. The greater part of her married life was spent in King City. Mrs. Alice Severe was the daughter of Capt, W. S. and Mrs. Sarah Warnock of Davis City, Iowa, these with Mr, and Mrs. A. M. Severe, anil Mrs. Seltz (sisters and brother.) were with the bereaved family during the last hours, and at the time of death of the departed loved; The funeral services were held at the home at 10 o "dock. Thursday. Dec. 7, and were conducted by Rev, C. C. Armstrong of the Presbyterian church, and assisted by the other pastors of the city. The remains were attended to tho dopot by sorrowing and sympathizing friends, whence they were taken to the home of her childhood for interment, ; accompanied by the husband, and daughters, with her parents, Mrs. Seltz, and Mr and Mrs. A. M. Severe. At Davis City they were met by many friends, who joined the funeral cortege and proceeded with them to the cemetery, where the funeral rites were concluded by the Rev. Mr. Husk of tho M. E. church, assisted by the choir. The body was placed temporarily in the public vault until the following day, when it was committed to the grave, there to await the resurrection morn. The sympathy of their many friends go out in this sad hour to the bereaved husband and daughters, whose constant, loving care and tender devotion to the cherished wife and mother, could not stay the hand of death, who called their dear one from the home of earth to the home eternal. Mrs. Alice Severe, a sister of Mrs. Siltz., whose sickness and death called them away to King City, Missouri, last week, died at that place on Wednesday, December 6, and was buried at Dayis City, Friday, December 8: The cause of lier death was cancer located in the head, which entirely blinded her before death.
