LEWIS L. RICHARDSON was the oldest of four children and was born at Keosaqua, Iowa, September 24, l848. He departed this life at his home in Leon, Iowa, November 29, l9l6.

MR. RICHARDSON came to Decatur County with his parents in l854, and has resided here ever since. September l5, l89l, MR. RICHARDSON was united in marriage to MISS MARCIA L. LOCKWOOD. Two children were born to this union; namely, HARRIET JANE and LEWIS LELAND, both of whom with their mother mourn the departure of the one who was dearest to them among the children of men.

MR. RICHARDSON was an honorable and upright man. He was honest in all his dealings and was respected and esteemed by all who knew him.

One brother, MR. G.G. RICHARDSON, of Sayer, Okla., and two sisters, namely, MRS. EMMA BEAVERS, of Woodland, Iowa and MRS. ELLA BIDDISON, of Leon, Iowa, also a large circle of friends and acquaintances join the bereaved family in mourning the departure of a good citizen and of a man who sought to live upright before his generation.

The funeral services were held from the home on Thursday afternoon, November 30, Rev. Raoul R. Moser, of the Methodist Church, conducting the same. A quartette from Woodland provided the music. The burial took place in Leon's Cemetery.
