Last Sunday evening some persons going home from church at Grand River discovered the body of Alexander Dobson, a young man living not far from that place. The front side of his skull was mashed in, evidently from a kick of a horse, as it showed the print of the shoe. He had started for church on horseback and it is supposed that the horse had thrown him off and kicked him in the face, killing him instantly. He had evidently been dead for some time when found. (Son of Jacob & Phebe (McClintock) Dobson)
