DIED--At her home in Grand River Township, June 27th at 8:45 o'clock
p.m. MRS. GRACE BECK-SHIELDS, aged 18 years. The deceased was the
youngest daughter of MR. and MRS. HUSTON BECK.

December 14th, 1892, she became the bride of MR. W.F. SHIELDS. The
young couple started out in life with a cloudless sky before them and
all was joy and happiness until this sad and unexpected blow overtook
them. GRACE was an obedient daughter, an affectionate sister and a
model wife. Her death is deeply mourned by all who knew her and
especially by a large connection of relatives whose mutual attachments
were bound in close ties.

The funeral services were held at the family residence Wednesday,
conducted by REV. DUNN of Grand River. The remains were laid to rest in
the Woodmansee Cemetery. The pall bearers were MAGGIE MONEYSMITH; ANNIE
and LYDE BRYAN; ROSE FLETCHER; ANNA AKERS and CYRENE ANDREWS.
