Mae Salmon, 85, Leon, formerly of Lamoni, Iowa, died Monday, May 20, 1991, at a healthcare center here.

Born in Daviess County, Mo., Mrs. Salmon was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lamoni. In 1927, she married Johnnie B. Salmon. He died in 1986.

Surviving: five daughters, Betty Thomas and Wilma Kromeich, both of Lamoni, Avalie Cook and Pauletta Salmon, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Evelyn Barber of Belton, Mo.; a sister, Velma Sutton of Pattonsburg, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Service: 2 p.m. Friday, First Baptist Church, Lamoni. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni. Visitation: after 2 p.m. Thursday, at Roberson-Polley Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends after 7 p.m. Thursday.
