Mrs. Luther Bason was called to Lamoni last Friday by the serious illness of her father Roe Ashburn, who, we are sorry to say, died last Sunday. Mr. Ashburn was one of the pioneer settlers of Decatur County, and was a good man and a good citizen, and his bereaved wife and family have the sympathy of all in this sad hour of their bereavement.
