Mr. John Grogan died on Sunday night. Twelve weeks before he received an injury to the spine by falling from an upper window at Hanover, Kansas. He was a somnambulist, and had been one from early boyhood. On one of his sleeping excursions he received his fatal injury. He was found beneath his window in the morning, where he was lying unconscious. He was tenderly cared for and three weeks ago was brought to Leon and taken to the residence of his friend, P. F. Bradley. Although he recovered consciousness he had no recollection of the night when he was hurt. From the first it was decided that his case was hopeless. The deceased was well known in this county and highly esteemed. He was a railroad contractor, and said to be one of the best "walking-bosses" to be found. He leaves a wife and eight children together with numerous relatives to mourn his loss.
