Francis Caroline Knapp was born in Charlestown, Portage county, Ohio, Dec. 19, 1854, and died August 3, 1910, at her home, 1910 Carson avenue, Lewiston, Idaho. She was united in marriage with W. K. Hensley at Garden Grove, Iowa, Feb. 14, 1875, and resided there until 1899 when the family removed to Asotin county, Washington. They made their home in Asotin county until 1903 when they removed to Lewiston. She was united with the first Christian church in March, 1909. She is survived by a husband and five children, they being George Hensley, of Willola, Ida., Don Hensley, of the City Express company Karl Hensley, an employ of the Great Northern at Hillyard, Wash. Mrs. Blanche Brutzman, and Miss Fleta Hensley, both of Lewiston. Mrs. Hensley is also survived by her mother. Mrs. Mary L. Knapp, and two brothers, Charles and Clayton Knapp, all of whom were at her bedside. Mrs. Hensley has been in failing health for the past eighteen months and the end was not unexpected. The funeral was conducted from the home at 2:30 o'clock August 4, interment being in the Lewiston cemetery.
