EDWARD ELLSWORTH HARRIS was born in Leon,
Iowa, August 5, l873, and died
at the home of his mother in this city on
November ll, l9l5, age 42
years, 3 months and 6 days. He was a son of
JAMES G. and CAROLINE
(HOWARD) HARRIS and since the death of his
father, four years ago, had
been the only inmate of his mother's
household. His care of and
solicitude for her welfare was very marked at
all times and he had never
married, seeming to feel that his most urgent
duty was the keeping up of
his mother's home.

Eighteen years or more ago, he joined the
Christian Church and up to the
day of his death acknowledged his belief in
the mercy and kindness of
the Redeemer. He leaves to mourn his death
an aged mother, five sisters
and many other relatives. His friends were
numerous. He was a good son
and an affectionate brother. Whatevery may
have been his faults, his
impulses were good and in his quiet
unassuming way, he dispensed charity
and cheer to many.
