Sutherlin, Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin Sutherlin, son of James Albert and Margaret Sutherlin was
born December 19, 1886 near Terre Haute in Decatur County and died at the
Decatur County Hospital, Wednesday, September 30, 1964.
He was a farmer in Iowa most of his life, except for about 10 years spent in
Nebraska.
He was married to Nellie Negley now living in California. Survivors include
three children, Lucille Bailey of Olympic, Washington; Herman of San Diego,
Calif. and Charmain Frye also of Bakersfield; a brother Lyman of Burrwell,
Nebr. and a sister, Gertrude Sellers of Davis City.
He was a veteran of the Army serving in World War I. -
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Everett Hollingshead were held at the
Slade Funeral Home Saturday, October 3, 1964 at 2 o'clock.
Interment was in Terre Haute cemetery.
