ELIZA STRANGE was born in Ohio October 9, 1839, and died at the home of her son, JEFFERSON STRANGE, two miles northwest of town, on Saturday, March 10, 1906, aged 66 years, five months and one day. She moved with her parents to Wapello County when fourteen years old and was married to ISAAC STRANGE, September 18, 1854. To this union nine children were born, of whom four died in infancy. She became a member of the U.B. Church in 1876 and ever lived a blameless, Christian life.
On Sunday, funeral services were conducted by Elder D.F. Sellards, after which the remains were laid at rest in the Palestine Cemetery to await the resurrection morn. The relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
