Henry YOUNG, son of Ransom Grant YOUNG and Lulu (GILREATH) YOUNG, was born Nov. 4, 1894, near Grand River, Iowa, and died at the Leon Care Center, Leon, Iowa, July 15, 1977, age 82.

His mother died when he was very young and he made his home with his Grandmother GILREATH. He grew up and attended school at Westerville, Iowa. After his grandmother’s death, he and his grandfather lived together in Grand River. For the past four years, Henry has been a resident of the Leon Care Center.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Augusta (YOUNG) WINENGER (sic). His nephew, F. F. WINENGER (sic) of Spirit Lake, Iowa, survives.

Interment was in Young Cemetery (sic, interment was in Grand River Cemetery).
