HELEN ORRENA, daughter of EDWIN G. and MYRA
M. SPENCER, was born January
l7, l9l3, and died September 8, l9l5, being
two years, seven months and
twenty-one days old.

Little HELEN was taken suddenly ill about
3:30 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon, September 7th, and the combined
skill of three physicians and
all that loving hands of relatives and
friends could do, could not
relieve her from her suffering until God in
his infinite wisdom saw fit
to call her home at 9:30 Wednesday evening,
to occupy the mansion
prepared for her, there to await, with her
sister, GLADYS, who departed
this life October 9, l9l2, the resurrection
morn when the family will be
reunited.

Little HELEN was a community favorite and
will be sadly missed by
neighbors and friends and her place in the
home can never be filled as
she was idolized by her parents and
relatives, but one more beckoning
hand is held out to us.

The funeral service was held Thursday
afternoon at New Salem, conducted
by Rev. B. Frank Jacobs, of the Presbyterian
Church, assisted by a choir
from the Presbyterian and Methodist Churches.
The remains were laid to rest by the side of
her sister in the New Salem
Cemetery. The sorrowing family have the
heartfelt sympathy of the
entire community in this their double
bereavement and we can only
commend them to the Father who knoweth and
doeth all things well.
