Leon, Decatur County, IowaMichael Edward Webb, age 62, of Leon, Iowa, the son of Lawrence Edward “Jack” and Nona Irene (Shackleton) Webb, was born July 17, 1955. He died at his Leon home on Sunday, April 1, 2018.
The family moved often when Mike was young. He grew up in Northern Iowa, California, Oregon, and Missouri. After school, he started doing construction work in both road construction and concrete work around the Des Moines, Iowa area. He returned to Leon and lived with his parents where he did lawn work and other odd jobs. After his mom’s death, he and his dad looked after each other. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to old country music and watching T.V.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents; mom, Irene Webb; granddaughter, Serenity Hamell; and niece, Mashara Aschan.
Survivors include his dad, Jack Webb of Leon; daughter, Melissa Holmes and husband, Ryan, Sr. of Algona, Iowa; son, Shane Clark and wife, Connie Rae, of Mohave Valley, Arizona; grandchildren, Jennifer, Merissa, Teion, Atlantis, Braxton, Ryan, Jr., Cassie, and Andy; four great grandchildren, McKenzie, Isabella, Chad, Jr., and Caylee; siblings, Rick Webb of Leon, Lonnie and Lori Webb of Olathe, Kansas, Reta Aschan of Leon, Peggy and Gary Davison of Russell, Iowa, and Lorie Webb of Des Moines, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service with burial in Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa, will take place in the Summer of 2018. Arrangements were through the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa.
