Obituary ~ Kelly Ann Harper
April 21, 1962 ~ February 24, 2017

Kelly Ann Harper, daughter of Donald Gene Harper and Shirley Ann (Robinson) Smith was born April 21, 1962 in Bloomington, Illinois and passed from this life Friday, February 24, 2017 at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa at 54 years of age.

Kelly grew up in the Garden Grove area. She graduated from Mormon Trail High School and received her Associates Degree from Southwestern Community College. She worked many years for SIRHA in Creston and helped many people in the Southern Iowa area.

Kelly loved her family. She enjoyed all the times they would go mushroom hunting, fishing and camping. She enjoyed the many weekend trips to Dave's farm and getting to spend time with her special grandchildren. She looked forward to going to Corry's and seeing her granddogs. She was very outgoing and loving, she will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Kelly in death were her brother, Steven Dale Harper and mother, Shirley Ann Smith.

Kelly leaves to cherish her memory; son, Corry Johnston and his girlfriend Alexi Groumoutis of Creston, IA, special friend Dave Chamberlain of Lewis, IA, father Don and step-mom Geri Harper of Humeston, brother, Ron (Dorinda) Harper of Osceola, IA, brother, Greg Harper of Roland, IA, sister, Sharon (Shawn) Woods of Humeston, IA, nieces and nephews, Carly(Jason) Voltz , Erika (Izzy) Harper, Garrett (Rob) Harper, Wesley (Rebecca) Harper, Parker Harper, Ian (Amanda) Harper, Sadie (Travis) Johnson, and Shay (Kailey) Woods, great nieces and great nephews, Macy, Nathan, Emilee, Colt, George, Ryan, Amelia, Hunter, and Emery, Dave's children, Scott (Lisa) Chamberlain, Stephanie (Ben) Sanders, and special grandkids, Sophie, Kyra, Kaylin, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided on at a later date.

Memorial services were held February 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa. Interment was made at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Iowa.

Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
