Obituary ~ Florence Alta (McWilliams) Brammer
May 02, 1931 - January 08, 2017

Florence Alta Brammer, daughter of Carl McWilliams and Edith (Golden) McWilliams was born May 2, 1931 in Woodburn, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at 85 years of age.

Florence received her education at Weldon High School. She was united in marriage to Norman G. Brammer on July 28, 1948 at Osceola, Iowa.

Florence was a housewife and worked at Snowdons in Osceola for many years. She was a member of The International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the Weldon Main Streeters. She was proud of her community and was always volunteering and helping in any way for the betterment of Weldon. She received the Governor's Good Neighbor Award in 1994 because of all of her help in the Weldon Community. Florence always had a big garden and many flowers beds, she enjoyed walking and her dogs. She enjoyed helping Norman on the farm.

Those relatives who preceded Florence in death were her husband, Norman Brammer, daughter, Connie Easton, infant granddaughter, Samantha Easton, parents, Carl & Edith McWilliams, sister, Grace McWilliams, and sister, Lois McWilliams.

Florence leaves to cherish her memory; son, Carl (Janet) Brammer of Weldon, IA, Grandchildren, Rick (Peggy) Brammer of Des Moines, IA, Randy Brammer of Osceola, IA, Rusty Brammer of Adel, IA, Melissa Brammer of Weldon, IA, Tonya (Tim) Hatfield of Leon, IA, 15 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a fitting tribute to be decided at a later date.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. January 14, 2017, Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa.

Interment was made at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Iowa.

Kale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
