Lucille Jeannette Baughman, daughter of Leonard Hembry and Hazel (Poole) Hembry was born July 17, 1936 in Decatur County, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, December 25, 2015 surrounded by her family, at her home in Osceola, Iowa at 79 years of age.

Lucille graduated from Leon High School. She was united in marriage to Leo "Bill" William Baughman on January 15, 1955 at Leon, IA and 6 children blessed this union.

Lucille lived in Osceola for over 50 years and worked many years at the medical clinic in Osceola. She attended the Light of Grace Church in Osceola.

Lucille loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. She looked forward to attending the grandkid’s activities and sporting events. She would sit with family and friends in her garage watching traffic and enjoying time spent with the neighbors.

Those relatives who preceded Lucille in death were her husband, Bill Baughman; son, Lonnie Baughman; parents, Leonard and Hazel Hembry; sisters, Betty Lou Halsted, Lois Gray, and Martha Mae Hembry and her brother, Gail Hembry.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memory; son, Larry (Kelly) Baughman of Garden Grove, IA, son, Rick (Ann) Baughman of Eldridge, IA, daughter, Vicky (Scott) Halvorsen of Osceola, IA, daughter, Teresa (Doc) VerMeer of Pella, IA, son, Terry (Jan) Baughman of Chariton, IA; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Eloise Bethards, Imogene Beardsley, Kay (Jim) Fenn; brothers, Doyle (Lola) Hembry, Fred Hembry, and Gary Hembry; sister-in-law, Dana Hembry and brother-in-law, Wiley Gray, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. December 29, 2015 at Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa. Interment was made at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola.

Memorials may be directed to the Light of Grace Church in Osceola or Unity Point Hospice

Kale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
