Emma Catharine Weddle was born at Indianapolis, Indiana, September 6, 1863, died at her home in Pleasanton, Iowa, August 23, 1924, age 60 years, 11 months and 17 days.

She was united in marriage to J.W. Kindred, February 20, 1881. To this union were born eleven children, four of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her companion, seven children; Mrs. Elizabeth Hagan, Flemington, Mo.; Mrs. Edith Maars, Mound City, Mo.; Sherman, James, Carl and Minnie Kindred and Mrs. Sylvia Dunafon, of Pleasanton, Iowa; Andrew, of Yuma, Colorado; and Mrs. Allie Jacobs, of Rosala, Kansas. She is also survived by a brother, A.J. Weddle, of Cainsville, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. James McDonald, of Peculiar, Mo. and Mrs. Andrew Curier, of Kansas City, Mo. and other relatives and a host of dear friends.

She endured much suffering with patience and kindness. In l9l7, she was converted and baptized into the Church of the Nazarene, in which faith she died.

Funeral services were held in the park at Pleasanton, conducted by W.L. Morey, and the body laid to rest in the Hamilton Cemetery.
