Obituary ~ Leonora "Nora" (Gassett) Eiker

Leonora Eiker died March 25, 1932 at her home in Leon, Iowa.

Leonora was the fourth child of George and Mary Hodgman Gassett.

She was born on a farm near Leon Iowa and died at the home of her step-son, B. L. Eiker in Leon. She received her early education in the pioneer public schools of Decatur county and at the age of fifteen commenced teaching. On April 11, 1878 she was united in marriage to James M. Eiker of Decatur, Iowa, who preceeded her in death January 8, 1918. Besides her immediate family she was survived by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Stewart funeral Home in Leon Iowa, Sunday March 27, 1932 and her body laid to rest in Leon Cemetery.
