Darwin Forrest Snook, son of Forrest Franklin Snook and Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Snook, was born on November 30, 1913 at Grand River, Iowa. He died at Westview Acres in Leon, Iowa on January 7, 1998 at the age of 84 years.

Darwin graduated from Grand River High School and also Junior College in Osceola, Iowa.

On August 21, 1945, he was united in marriage to Lucille V. Jelsma in Des Moines, Iowa. To this union two children, Darwin Jr. and Karen, were born.

Mr. Snook was born and lived his life on the family farm. He enjoyed people nd was a boys 4-H leader for many years. He also sold seed corn and worked for A. S. E. program measuring government ground.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother Loring F. Snook.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Snook of Grand River; son Darwin F. Snook, Jr. and wife Barbara J. of Grand River; daughter Karen K. Page and husband John of Osceola; four grandchildren: Brant A. Snook and wife Marcia of Westminister, Colorado; Michelle L. Snook of Des Moines, Iowa; Eric J. Page and Krystal E. Page, borth of rural Osceola; sister-in-law Eva Snook of Grand River; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
