Obituary ~ Raymond Evermont "Ray" Crouse
May 15, 1912 ~ August 21, 1970

RAY CROUSE, son of HENRY and MINERVA CROUSE, was born May 15, 1912, near Cainsville, Mo., and died at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines August 21, 1970, at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 6 days.

He grew up in Cainsville, was baptized into the Christian Church there, completed high school there and graduated from the Chillicothe Business College in 1933. He also attended Maryville State Teachers College. RAY began work as a Ford car salesman in Cainsville.

In 1941 he enlisted and served in the Army during Wold War II.

In 1946 he undertook a partnership with his brother ROBERT P. CROUSE of Leon in the Plymouth Dodge agency, which layer became the Ray Crouse Chevrolet -Buick agency. Following his brother's death in 1959, RAY continued as operator, receiving a number of honors from the companies he represented. He was a member of Rotary.

He was united in marriage to BETTY HAGAN December 30, 1945, and to this union two daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

He is survived by four brothers: HENRY CROUSE, HUGH ROBERTS, OTIS ROBERTS, and GUY ROBERTS; and three sisters: FAY HIGDON, TINA HART, and GERTRUDE TAFT; his wife BETTY; his daughters: CATHY (Mrs. MIKE BROWN, Washington, D. C.) And LINDA (Mrs. BILL HUBBARD, Kansas City, Mo.); a granddaughter BRISJA RAE BROWN, other relatives and friends.
