Randy Ray Waugh, the son of Dwight and Lorene (Lovell) Waugh, was born on June 20, 1955 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 – 1978. Randy had worked as a welder at Economy Forms (EFCO) in Des Moines for over 20 years. In 1995 he retired to due health reasons. Randy was baptized in and attended the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church in Lamoni, IA. Randy was proud that, while he was at Lamoni High School, he trained with Bruce Jenner and Bruce taught him to pole vault. They hung out a lot together on the campus of Graceland College. Next to all his family and extended family, Randy's greatest love was his Harley. He enjoyed attending bike rallies, toy runs, and swap meets. In later years he enjoyed playing Frisbee Golf with family and the many friends he met after he moved to Algona in 1999.

Left to cherish Randy’s memory is his significant other of twenty years, Rhonda Stammer of Algona; two sons, Brett Waugh of Algona and Carl (Amanda) Waugh of Bancroft; step-children, Lisa Saucier of Spencer, MA, Crissy (Wendell) Bollinger-Leach from Des Moines, Valarie Wegener & her special friend, Robert Lauck of Algona, Kyle (April) Lester of Algona, Jennifer Pike of Des Moines, Jesse Stammer & his special friend Christine Nelson of Algona, Jody (Marcus) Gifford of Ansbach, Germany and Wade McClellan of Des Moines; a grandson, Aidan Waugh; numerous step-grandchildren; his mother, Lorene Waugh of Norwalk; a brother, Alan (Arnita) Waugh of Norwalk; a nephew, Mark (Angie) Waugh of Branson, MO; a niece, Stacy (Matthew) Hildreth of Norwalk; and two great nephews, Blake and Keagan.

He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Jeanne Waugh.
