MRS. LAURA LINDSEY-POVLOPONS passed away last
Sunday at Magdalena, N.M.
A message was received here Sunday from an
undertaker addressed to MRS.
I.M. LINDSEY, stating that her granddaughter,
BERTHA was dead at
Magdalena and asking where her mother could
be located and for
instructions. There was no one of that name
here and the name BERTHA in
the message was misleading so it was not
until Monday that WILL GARDNER
and ANDREW LINDSEY, who were investigating
the matter further, decided
that the message was intended for MR.
LINDSEY's mother, MRS. Q.M.
LINDSEY, deceased, and that the person dead
was LAURA, daughter of MRS.
M.P. LINDSEY, of Rice, Ariz.

The undertaker was so informed and MRS.
LINDSEY was in turn notified.
MR. GARDNER received a message Tuesday
evening stating that MRS. LINDSEY
would arrive here Friday afternoon with the
remains of her daughter for
interment. No particulars regarding the
death are obtainable at this
time. The many friends of MRS. LINDSEY and
daughters in Leon and
vicinity will be shocked and deeply grieved
to learn of the death of
MRS. POVLOPONS.
