NANCY ANN OVERTON was born in Indiana,
January l3, l849, and departed
this life July 5, l9l4, at Weldon, Iowa,
being 65 years, 5 months and 22
days of age.

She came to Iowa as a babe with her parents
and in l85l the family came
to Clarke County which was her home until
about two years ago, since
which time Weldon has been her residence.

On May l5, l865, she was married to STRUBBLE
M. SHERROW, of Weldon, to
which union there were born six children as
follows: MINNIE B. SHULTZ,
of Des Moines; W.U. SHERROW, of Weldon; H.C.
SHERROW, of Weldon; BERTHA
SHERROW, of Chicago; DESSA SHERROW and EARL
SHERROW, both of Weldon.

She was a charter member of the Weldon
Christian Church, a splendid type
of Christian character, exhibiting patience
and even cheerfulness
through her suffering of her last illness.
Besides her children, her
husband, a brother, W.C. OVERTON, of Nelson,
Nebraska, and an extensive
circle of friends, many dating back to the
pioneer days of the
community, mourn her passing away.

Funeral services were conducted in the
Christian Church at 2 o'clock
Tuesday with interment at Green Bay Cemetery.
A.B. Cornell, a former
minister, was in charge.
