George W. Rudibaugh.

George W. Rudibaugh was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, Feb. 4, 1830, and departed this life, April 4, 1914, at the age of 84 years and 2 months. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Thomas, March 3, 1851, and to this union were born three children, one son and two daughters, Chas. L., living near Davis City, Iowa; Mrs. Icie Barr, of Lineville, Iowa, and Mrs. Nettie Keaton, of Orchards, Washington.

He moved to Agency, Wapello county, 1857, came to Decatur county, 1857, teaching school for one year. In 1858 he moved on the farm where he has since resided. He was a successful farmer and school teacher. He was elected to the office of county commissioner for two terms - 1873-1879. Since that time he has retired to private life.

He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, three children, seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at his residence Monday, April 6th, at 11 o'clock a.m. by Rev. C. R. Cortell of the Lineville M. E. church, interment being in the Lineville cemetery.
