Howard Orison Lovett, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Orison Lovett, was born at Davis City, Iowa, September, 25, 1922. His short life was spent in Manson and Garden Grove, Iowa, until his parents moved to Leon last Christmas time. He was taken sick with typhoid fever August 11th, and was taken to the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, where everything that was humanly possible was done to save his life, but he passed away August 22, at the age of 6 years, 10 months, and 27 days.

Howard was a bright and manly little lad who had made many friends during his residence in this city. He will be greatly missed, but we bow our heads to His divine will.

Funeral services were held at the family home in Leon, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by his grandfather, Rev. E. O. Lovett, of Garden Grove. Interment was at Garden Grove.

The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their great sorrow.
