OBITUARY - WILLIAM BOYCE

The funeral of WILLIAM BOYCE was held at the M.E. Church in Van Wert, Iowa, Sunday, July 22, 1900. The deceased was born at Ontwell, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1833. In 1852 he emigrated to the United States, stopping in New York State. From thence he removed to Ohio, Erie County, where in 1863 he married JANE DIAMOND. By this marriage there are eight children who with their mother, mourn his loss. He came to Decatur County, Iowa, in 1869, where he has since lived.

MR. BOYCE was a good citizen, an excellent husband, an industrious farmer and a Christian. He was ready for the great change.

A very large congregation attended the funeral services which were conducted by his pastor.
