Obituary ~ Ronald Roe "Ron" Barth
April 08, 1946 ~ November 08, 2014

"Ron" Ronald Roe Barth, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was 68 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Foursquare Gospel Church, 700 W. Broadway, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Interment services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Ron was born on April 8, 1946 to Marvin Barth and Opal (Gardner) Barth in Leon, Iowa. He attended school in Lamoni, Iowa and Braymer, Missouri. He continued his education with hands on experience, becoming a master mechanic, heavy equipment operator, pipeline foreman and superintendent. He owned and operated many businesses over the years.

Ron and Lea began Able Construction and Equipment in 1997, they ventured out, taking on many challenges in several states. With the help of their hardworking and dedicated crew, Ron and Lea built the company to the success it is today.

Ron was a hero and an inspiration to many. His strong work ethic and honorable nature earned him respect and admiration from numerous family members, co-workers and friends over the years.

Surviving him today, is his wife Lea Barth; his parents, Marvin and Opal Barth of Lamoni, IA; two daughters, Jackie Sage of Ponca City, OK, and Ronda Higgins of Ozark, AR, one son Joshua Barth and his wife Marybeth Barth, of Ponca City, OK; six siblings, Marjorie Marie Horn of Clarksville, AR, Phyllis Jean and husband RJ Gleason of Lamoni, IA, Elaine Lois and husband Bobby Wilcox of Russellville, AR, Lorraine Diane Harper of Liberty, MO, Sam (CB) and wife Candy of Weatherby, MO, Sharon Kay and husband Sherman Lane of Milo, IA; six grandchildren, Ryann McCauley and wife Crystal of Manford, OK, Randon Higgins and wife Shandi of Ponca City, OK, James Higgins and wife Jessica of Southpoint, OH, Dalton Sage and his wife Brianna of Chandler, OK, Phoenix Sage of Ponca City, OK, Allegra Sage of Ponca City, OK; nine great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; including one special cousin, who was more like a brother, Russell Gardner and his wife Debbie of Newkirk, OK.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clate and Velma Barth, Gaylord and Marie Gardner; and a nephew, Timothy Marvin Stevenson.

Casket Bearers will be Joshua Barth, Russell Gardner, Timothy Daniels, John Stevenson, Patrick Gray, and Mitch Allen.
